The Carillon Historical Park

Carillon Historical Park is a living history museum. The park covers 65 acres and features over 30 historical buildings and exhibits that showcase the history of Dayton and the Miami Valley region. One of the highlights of the park is the Deeds Carillon, a 151-foot-tall tower that houses 57 bronze bells, making it one of the largest carillons in the world. The park also includes the Wright Brothers National Museum, which celebrates the lives and achievements of Orville and Wilbur Wright, who were Dayton natives and inventors of the first successful powered airplane. Other exhibits at the park focus on the history of Dayton's manufacturing industry, the region's role in the Underground Railroad, and the history of transportation. Visitors can explore the park on foot or take a ride on the park's replica 1835 B&O steam locomotive.
